Unique Approach - Why We Are The Best
Please research this inside out as no-one provides this service. In modern times there tends to be two approaches to hosting:
• Shared hosting where you are sharing a server with hundreds and sometimes thousands of other clients. This is deadly for many reasons the main one being you are sharing a single ip address. If any of their emails or feedback forms get hijacked then your mail system is down for ages. Why? Because banning is nearly always done based on ip address and in shared hosting like this it will happen at some point, I stress will happen not maybe. How do you know for sure if your using this plan? Simple servers cost a lot to run so if you are paying around £20/pcm then you are in this category.
• Dedicated hosting where you are the only company using the server. This is always very costly and rarely needed remember although you can get many hundreds of hits at a time the files being called up are nearly always web pages measuring only a few kilobytes.
Our unique approach for most of our customers is to have five to ten clients per server each with their own IP Address. This has the double benefit of spreading the cost whilst still giving you more than enough server power.
Additional Free Services
• Rarely seen we instal fail2ban on all our servers. To elaborate at management level fail2ban tracks all log in attempts on all ports. We have it configured so that three failed log in attempts results in the offending IP Address being banned. This makes it impossible to hack any password.
• We fine tune php.ini the php control file and my.cnf the mysql control file so that your server is tuned perfectly for the hardware being used and the set up you have. Remember nearly all servers you'll come across use default control files.
• We also fine tune your email server for IMAP. IMAP is the protocol used by any serious business. IMAP allows for total synchronisation over many devices. In summary if you delete a message on your iphone then when you go to look on your computer at home you will see the file is also deleted there without having to perform any action.
